Abstract. The article presents the results of a study of the capabilities of a number of software tools, namely the graphic editors Adobe Photoshop and Jasc Paint Shop Pro. The focus is on the possibilities available when creating custom (custom-made) software modules (filters) of color correction in order to restore the original content of documents.
