Abstract. The right of servicemen to housing constitutes a fundamental element of their constitutional and legal status, the guarantee and realization of which are enshrined in the current legislation of the Russian Federation. The Federal Law «On the Status of Military Personnel» provides a detailed and comprehensive legal framework that delineates the principal mechanisms by which this right may be exercised. This legislative structure reflects a degree of discretion afforded to servicemen in choosing the form of housing provision that best meets their individual and family needs. The present study examines selected legal and practical aspects of the implementation of housing rights by servicemen serving in the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, with particular attention to the diversity of available housing mechanisms and the challenges encountered in their application.
