Abstract. The article examines how the professional experience of a teacher affects the formation and development of an innovative component of pedagogical activity, as well as the teacher’s willingness to introduce new approaches. Special attentionis paid to the role of reflection, creative approach, practical and theoreticalthinking in the structure of professionalexperience. A cyclicalmodel of experience development is also proposed, which includes several stages that reflect the process of mastering various aspects of the teacher’s professional activity.
