Abstract. Law is systematically renewed. In the era of digital society, the renewal of law and legal system has a peculiar character. The peculiarity is manifested in the formation of innovative law with its mechanism (subject-object relationship), functions, types, subject, method. In addition to the existing scientific views, the article considers the basic principles of innovation law and their connection with new digital technologies. The author lists four principles of innovation law and briefly characterizes them. New technologies of innovation law and their influence on practical activity of subjects of legal relations in different branches of law are investigated. It is concluded that civil society plays an important role as a consumer of legal innovations, contributing to the improvement of the legal system and protection of citizens’ rights. People and organizations need access to modern legal services that will help them protect their rights, resolve conflicts and develop their business. Modern civil society is focused on the development and use of new legal methods and technologies that help lawyers improve efficiency, ensure data security and improve communication with clients.
