Alekseev S. O., Savelyev A. S. Principles of federalism in the first soviet constitution of 1918

Abstract. The article reveals features of socialist federalism as a form of state unity of new Russia. The study of the model of socialist federalism, enshrined in the Constitution of the RSFSR of 1918, allows to explain many features of Russian federalism, which does not correspond to any of the known in the world models of federal state structure.
