Abstract. The article presents the main ways to improve the process of forming professional value orientations among military personnel under contract through the implementation of a targeted pedagogical program. In order to consolidate military specialists in military service under contract, improve their professional training and educate a highly moral personality, the need for the formation of professional value orientations in military personnel at the beginning of the first contract military service is noted. Attention is given to the potential of realization of formal, non-formal and informal learning in the course of the military training and educational process in a military unit.
