Abstract. The article examines the peculiarity of the sociological approach to the analysis of problems of military management activities, reveals the concept of a problem management in military sphere, defines features of military management and general principles, analyzes the basics of military management activities in the military educational institution, and also identifies its features and peculiarities. A conclusion is drawn on how it is possible touse specific features of the sociological approach to the analysis of the problems of military management activities in military educational institutions of higher education in modern conditions of functioning of society and the army of the Russian Federation as a whole.
