Abstract. The article examines the modern problems of forming the necessary level of physical fitness of cadets, taking into account the peculiarities of modern requirements for the professional activities of future officers of the National Guard troops. The article focuses on identifying pedagogical contradictions that make it difficult to form, develop or improve the physical fitness of cadets and to determine addressed methods of their resolution, taking into account the peculiarities of the professional orientation of future officers.
