Abstract. The formation of professional and business qualities of officers able to think creatively, show reasonable initiative, promptly and efficiently make optimal management decisions is one of the main didactic problems of training in military educational organizations. This article discusses the main directions of the formation of professional and business qualities of an officer necessary for the qualitative performance of assigned service and combat tasks. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of professional and business qualities of an officer in the process of training in a military educational organization are considered and some didactic approaches are noted.
