Abstract. This article discusses the development of communicative skills among officers of the NGT of Russia in the process of organizing professional communication. The author conducts a psychological and pedagogical analysis of the approaches of various researchers to the concept of communication, identifies the main conditions for the development of communicative skills as personality qualities that ensure success in the profession of an officer, reveals the factors affecting the quality of the organization and the success of the professional activity of officers, increasing their readiness to solve the tasks of official activity and professional self-improvement.
