Abstract. The article highlights the peculiarities of the creation and the pre-war development of
Engels military aviation school pilots. Describes the main stages of construction and the results achieved
in military training prior to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. It considers the role of the school
in Victory and dedicated to the most distinguished graduates.
