Abstract. The article concerns the essence and content of social tension in a military team. Approaches to identify problems in a military team. Aspects of the historical retrospective review of a military team and social tensions are identified. The article describes the management aspect of the military personnel social tensions. A definition of social tension is given. Factors that influence the formation of social tension are identified.
