Abstract. The article presents an analysis of scientific literature on the problem of psychological and pedagogical readiness of cadets in military educational institutions of higher education (here in after referred to as educational organizations) for the National Guard troops of the Russian Federation to work with military personnel undergoing military service under contract as soldiers and sergeants. The essence of the concept of readiness for any activity, including military professional training of cadets of educational organizations, is revealed. Attention is focused on the main components of readiness for activity in general and readiness for activity with military personnel undergoing military service under contract as soldiers and sergeants.
