Abstract. In this article, based on a comparison of educational programs of military educational organizations of higher education of the National Guard troops of the Russian Federation in the specialty «Legal support of national security», the issues of reducing the level of mathematical knowledge by cadets are studied, problems in this area are identified, Possible ways to solve them are proposed by changing the work program of the discipline «Computer Science and Information Technology in professional activity» and including mathematical training in the educational process to improve the quality of studying other disciplines.
