Abstract. The article considers the importance of the constructionist model of physical education as a pedagogical approach to teaching aimed at improving the cadets’ physical fitness. The cadets are divided into groups aimed at the development of physical qualities. They help to develop each other’s physical qualities during the independent physical training. The practice of forming the physical fitness of the National Guard Troops future officers is practically shown.
