Abstract. The article provides an overview of the most relevant (innovative) directions of modern development of the military vocational education system in the light of current global military-political and socio-economic processes. The article analyzes the prospects for the introduction of methodological modeling technology based on the use of virtual reality to create an immersive environment conducive to the most effective training of cadets in conditions of increasing importance of robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles and changes in tactics of warfare in modern conditions.
