Abstract. Within the framework of the structural sociological concept, the article analyzes the military association on the basis of classical stratification theories. The intraprofessional stratification of military personnel is considered on the basis of scientific research conducted by native sociologists. The use of a systematic methodological approach to the analysis of the socio-professional structure of a military association allows us to highlight the directions of intraprofessional stratification of military personnel. The effectiveness of the stratification approach in identifying social problems of military units is shown. Scientific references for reducing intergroup social typification are proposed: 1) expansion of the social protection system for military personnel and their families; 2) stable growth of the military personnel money allowance.
